Percentages are our win probability for each side and always total 100, because AFL games end level rarely, if ever. The tip is our one call on each fixture, and it names its own market. 1 is the home side, 2 the away side, matching the percentages. A tip with no label is a straight win. Handicap 1 (-112.5) is the home side after that line is applied, and Over / under O 164.5 is the match passing that many points. Green means the call won, red means it lost, amber means it has not settled yet. Losing calls stay on the page, which is what the accuracy record is built from. The first column shows the start time until a fixture begins, then the live score, then the final score.

How AFL Works

The rules that shape every number on this page.

An AFL game produces around 160 points between the two sidesso the line runs to twenty, thirty and occasionally forty points, the widest of any sport we cover.
A goal is six points and a behind is oneso a scoreline of 14.9 (93) means fourteen goals and nine behinds, and the behinds decide more handicaps than people expect.
An AFL match is four quarters of twenty minutes plus time onso a quarter regularly runs to thirty minutes of real play and late scoring swings are common.
Games land between 05:40 and 10:25 West Africa Timeso an Australian Saturday afternoon is a West African morning.
The premiership season runs in rounds, not dateswhich is why AFL is searched by round number where other sports are searched by day.
Every AFL prediction is free. No paid tier, no VIP group, no subscription, no account needed.

About Our Free AFL Predictions

What the model reads for AFL, and what the numbers mean

The next set of AFL games we rate, with a win probability and the one call we rate. Free, and no account is needed. Every rating on this page is a probability produced by the same model that powers our football predictions, calibrated to AFL rather than reused from another sport.

What Makes AFL Different

Ground size varies more in the AFL than in any other league we cover, and it changes scoring. The MCG plays very differently from a smaller interstate ground, so venue is weighted alongside form, travel and the six day turnaround that follows a Friday night.

Competitions We Rate

Coverage includes AFL Premiership Season, AFL Finals Series, AFL Women, with the full list in the competitions section above. Each competition carries its own fixtures, ratings and settled results.

Markets We Price

Straight win, Handicap, Over / under and more, each with its own page. These are AFL markets, not football markets with the words changed: two outcomes because AFL games end level rarely, if ever.

What a Probability Means Here

A selection rated 62 percent is expected to lose roughly four times in ten. We publish the number rather than a confidence label, we do not sell sure predictions, and every settled call stays on the site next to the result. That is what the published accuracy record is built from, and the method is on the methodology page.

AFL Tips and Predictions

AFL betting tips and AFL tips and predictions are how this sport is searched, and unlike most sports the round number matters: AFL predictions this week and per round pages follow the premiership season rather than a daily card. Games land between 05:40 and 10:25 West Africa Time, so an Australian Saturday afternoon is a West African morning.

Why AFL Lines Are the Biggest in Any Sport We Cover

An AFL game produces around 160 points between the two sides, so the line runs to twenty, thirty and occasionally forty points. Nothing else we rate comes close. A six goal margin sounds decisive and is routine. That scale is why the winner market settles early on a mismatch and the line is where the actual contest sits.

AFL Footy Tipping, Round by Round

AFL tipping is a national habit, and AFL footy tips are searched by round rather than by date because the home and away season runs twenty three rounds with a bye structure that moves teams around. Our AFL computer predictions rate every game in the round at once, so a tipping competition entry is one page rather than nine. The finals series then narrows to eight sides, a qualifying and elimination week, semi finals, preliminary finals and the grand final at the MCG on the last Saturday in September.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we are asked most about this page.

Question 1

Are AFL predictions on AccuratePredict free?

Answer 1Yes. Every AFL rating is free, with no account, no paid tier and no VIP group.
Question 2

How many outcomes does a AFL prediction have?

Answer 2Two. AFL games end level rarely, if ever, so we publish two percentages that total 100. If a game is drawn, a win tip on either side loses.
Question 3

Which AFL competitions do you cover?

Answer 3Including AFL Premiership Season, AFL Finals Series, AFL Women. The full list is in the competitions section above.
Question 4

What time are AFL predictions published?

Answer 4By 06:00 WAT, and revised as confirmed team news lands. Kick off times on this page are already converted to West Africa Time.
Question 5

Do you remove AFL predictions that lose?

Answer 5No. Every rating stays published next to the result, which is what the accuracy record is built from.
Question 6

Is the AFL model the same one used for football?

Answer 6No. The framework is the same, the inputs are not. Ground size varies more in the AFL than in any other league we cover, and it changes scoring. The MCG plays very differently from a smaller interstate ground, so venue is weighted alongside form, travel and the six day turnaround that follows a Friday night.
