Percentages are our win probability for home, draw and away, and always total 100. The tip on this page is always Clean Sheet; the price is the best we found for it. A pick rated 62 percent is expected to lose roughly four times in ten.
How Clean Sheet Settles
What counts, and what does not
- The named side concedes no goals. The result does not matter. A 0-0 is a clean sheet for both.
- Own goals count against the side credited with conceding in the official result.
- Ninety minutes only. Extra time is excluded unless the bookmaker states otherwise.
- A penalty shoot out is not part of the match for this market.
Settlement rules vary slightly between bookmakers. Where practice differs we say "most bookmakers"; check the rules of the one you use before placing anything.
About Our Clean Sheet Predictions
What the market is, how we rate it, where it tends to land and how to use the page
Clean sheet predictions back a side to concede nothing, whatever it scores at the other end. It is the defensive view of a match, the opposite of both teams to score, and it rewards a model that rates defences rather than only attacks. A side with a strong defence rating against a weak attack is the profile, and that profile is common in mismatches and in low scoring leagues. We list the fixtures where the probability of a clean sheet for the named side clears our threshold, from the card on the football predictions hub.
How We Rate a Clean Sheet
From the expected goals figure for the opposing side alone. The probability that it scores nothing is read from its distribution, which depends on its attack rating, the named side's defence rating, home and away splits and confirmed absences. A missing striker on the opponent pushes a fixture onto this page; a missing centre back or goalkeeper on the named side pulls it off. The method is on how we make predictions.
Where Clean Sheets Come From
Low scoring leagues and mismatches. African league football, including the NPFL and the PSL, carries a high share of clean sheets, especially for home sides. Top sides at home in Serie A and the Premier League against relegation candidates are the European equivalent. Open leagues such as the Bundesliga produce fewer. If your view is on the total rather than one side, under 2.5 is the related market, and if you want both the clean sheet and the win, that is a win to nil market which we do not publish separately.
How to Use This Page
The chips above the table switch market. The country and competition selects narrow the table to one competition without leaving the page. The day pills move to tomorrow or the week ahead, and the date picker goes to any day. Every row links to the full fixture page, where the analysis explains the number. When a pick settles it stays on the site with its result, and the market's strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive, losses included. The football predictions hub carries the same fixtures across every market.
