Percentages are our win probability for home, draw and away, and always total 100. The tip on this page is always Half Time / Full Time; the price is the best we found for it. A pick rated 62 percent is expected to lose roughly four times in ten.

How Half Time / Full Time Settles

What counts, and what does not

  1. Two results, both must be right. The result at half time and the result at full time, in that order.
  2. Nine combinations. Home/Home, Home/Draw, Home/Away, Draw/Home, Draw/Draw, Draw/Away, Away/Home, Away/Draw, Away/Away.
  3. Full time is the 90 minute score. Extra time does not count.
  4. The half time result is the score at the interval, not who is winning the half.

Settlement rules vary slightly between bookmakers. Where practice differs we say "most bookmakers"; check the rules of the one you use before placing anything.

About Our Half Time / Full Time Predictions

What the market is, how we rate it, where it tends to land and how to use the page

Half time full time predictions name the result at the interval and the result at the final whistle, and both have to be right. Nine combinations exist, and the prices run from short on a favourite leading at both points to very long on a comeback. It is a market for readers with a view on how a match unfolds, not only how it ends, and the model has something to say about that: strong favourites that start fast produce a clear Home/Home call, while cautious fixtures produce Draw/Home or Draw/Draw at better prices. We list the fixtures where one combination stands clear, from the card on the football predictions hub.

How We Rate HT/FT

From the expected goals for each side split by half. The model estimates the probability of each half time result, then the probability of each full time result conditional on it, and multiplies the two for each of the nine combinations. Home/Home dominates when a strong favourite has a strong first half record; Draw/Home is the call when the favourite tends to start slowly, and it is often the better price. A fixture qualifies when its top combination clears our threshold. The method is on how we make predictions.

Using HT/FT Well

As a single against a compared price. The combinations with long odds, such as Away/Home, are long for a reason and we rarely rate them. If you only have a view on one of the two points, the half time result page rates the interval alone and the straight win page rates the finish. Win either half is a softer bet on the same idea of a side dominating a spell.

How to Use This Page

The chips above the table switch market. The country and competition selects narrow the table to one competition without leaving the page. The day pills move to tomorrow or the week ahead, and the date picker goes to any day. Every row links to the full fixture page, where the analysis explains the number. When a pick settles it stays on the site with its result, and the market's strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive, losses included. The football predictions hub carries the same fixtures across every market.

Frequently Asked Questions

What people ask about half time / full time predictions.

Question 1

What does half time full time mean?

Answer 1You predict the result at half time and the result at full time, and both must be correct. There are nine combinations.
Question 2

What does Draw/Home mean?

Answer 2Level at half time, home side winning at full time. It is often the best priced way to back a favourite that starts slowly.
Question 3

Does extra time count for HT/FT?

Answer 3No. Full time means the score after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Question 4

Why are the odds on Home/Home so low?

Answer 4Because a strong favourite leading at both points is the most common outcome in a mismatch. The price reflects that.
Question 5

Are the Half Time / Full Time predictions free?

Answer 5Yes. Every prediction on this site is free, with no paid tier, no VIP group, no subscription and no account needed to view anything.
Question 6

What time are Half Time / Full Time predictions posted?

Question 7

How accurate are the Half Time / Full Time predictions?

Answer 7We publish the settled record rather than a marketing figure. Every pick stays on the site after the result, wins and losses, and the strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive.
Question 8

Can I convert a Half Time / Full Time slip to another bookmaker?

Answer 8Yes. Build the slip anywhere, then paste the booking code into the booking code converter to rebuild the same selections on any of the bookmakers we support.
