Percentages are our win probability for home, draw and away, and always total 100. The tip on this page is always BTTS and Over 2.5; the price is the best we found for it. A pick rated 62 percent is expected to lose roughly four times in ten.
How BTTS and Over 2.5 Settles
What counts, and what does not
- Both conditions must land. Each side scores at least once, and the match has three goals or more.
- A 2-1 wins. A 3-0 loses. The 3-0 clears the total but fails BTTS. A 1-1 fails the total.
- Ninety minutes only. Extra time and penalties are excluded unless the bookmaker states otherwise.
- Own goals count toward the total and for the side credited.
Settlement rules vary slightly between bookmakers. Where practice differs we say "most bookmakers"; check the rules of the one you use before placing anything.
About Our BTTS and Over 2.5 Predictions
What the market is, how we rate it, where it tends to land and how to use the page
BTTS and Over 2.5 predictions combine two of the most popular goals markets into one bet with one price. The match needs a goal from each side and at least three in total, which in practice means a 2-1 or better with both teams on the scoresheet. The combination is priced longer than either part because fewer matches satisfy both, and it is where a model earns its keep: the two conditions are correlated, so the honest probability is not the product of the two separate ones. We list only the fixtures that clear our threshold for the combined market, which is why this page is shorter than either of its parents on the football predictions hub.
How We Rate the Combination
From the joint distribution of the two sides' expected goals, not from multiplying the BTTS and Over 2.5 probabilities together. Those two outcomes overlap heavily, so a simple product understates the chance. A fixture qualifies when both attacks are in form and both defences are rated weak, which is a narrower profile than either market alone. A missing striker on either side is close to disqualifying, because the combination needs both to score. The method is on how we make predictions.
Where It Lands
The open European leagues, with the Bundesliga and the Eredivisie the usual examples, and mid table fixtures where neither side defends well. It rarely lands in low scoring leagues or in mismatches, where the favourite scores three and the other side none. If you like a fixture for goals but are unsure the weaker side will score, Over 2.5 on its own is the safer version; if you expect both to score but a low total, BTTS alone is the better market.
How to Use This Page
The chips above the table switch market. The country and competition selects narrow the table to one competition without leaving the page. The day pills move to tomorrow or the week ahead, and the date picker goes to any day. Every row links to the full fixture page, where the analysis explains the number. When a pick settles it stays on the site with its result, and the market's strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive, losses included. The football predictions hub carries the same fixtures across every market.
