Percentages are our win probability for home, draw and away, and always total 100. The tip on this page is always Over 1.5 Goals; the price is the best we found for it. A pick rated 62 percent is expected to lose roughly four times in ten.

How Over 1.5 Goals Settles

What counts, and what does not

  1. The line is 1.5 goals. Two or more goals in the match and the bet wins. One or none and it loses.
  2. Both teams count. It does not matter who scores. A 2-0 settles the same as a 1-1.
  3. Ninety minutes only. Extra time and penalties are excluded unless the bookmaker states otherwise.
  4. Own goals count toward the total, because they appear in the official result.

Settlement rules vary slightly between bookmakers. Where practice differs we say "most bookmakers"; check the rules of the one you use before placing anything.

About Our Over 1.5 Goals Predictions

What the market is, how we rate it, where it tends to land and how to use the page

Over 1.5 goals predictions are the safest rung on the goals ladder and the market most often used to build accumulators and rollovers. Two goals in a match is the normal outcome rather than the exception, so the probability on most fixtures sits high and the price sits short. That is exactly why it needs a model rather than a guess: at prices around 1.20 to 1.35 there is very little room for error, and the fixtures that fall short are the ones that wreck a multiple. We list every fixture on the football predictions hub where our Over 1.5 probability clears the threshold, which on a normal day is most of them.

How We Rate a Match for Over 1.5

The rating comes from the expected goals figure for each side, built from goals scored and conceded, home and away, weighted toward recent matches and adjusted for confirmed absences. Over 1.5 is read off that distribution: the probability that the combined total reaches two. Because the bar is low, the fixtures that fail it are the ones to study. A match between two sides with low attack ratings and strong defence ratings, or a fixture with a top striker missing, can sit under 70 percent for Over 1.5 even when the price says otherwise. The method is set out on how we make predictions.

Why This Market Is Used for Multiples

Because a run of short prices multiplies into a decent return without any single leg being a long shot. Four Over 1.5 legs at 1.25 each return about 2.4 times the stake, which is the basis of most rollover plans and a common shape for an accumulator. The catch is that each leg still fails sometimes, and a multiple needs every leg. Picking the legs from the top of this page rather than from a bookmaker's coupon is the point of the probability column.

Where Over 1.5 Lands and Where It Does Not

Top flight leagues in Western Europe clear 1.5 goals comfortably most weeks; the Bundesliga and the Eredivisie are the obvious examples, and the Premier League is not far behind. The fixtures to be careful with are lower scoring: African league matches such as the NPFL and the PSL, early round cup ties between cautious sides, and any derby where both managers set up not to lose. Those are the fixtures where a 1.25 price hides a real risk.

Up the Ladder

If Over 1.5 is landing but the price is too short to be worth it, Over 2.5 goals is the next rung and Over 3.5 the one after that. For the view that a match stays low scoring, Under 2.5 is the mirror. Both teams to score asks a different question, that each side gets at least one, and is often priced close to Over 1.5 while meaning something else.

How to Use This Page

The chips above the table switch market. The country and competition selects narrow the table to one competition without leaving the page. The day pills move to tomorrow or the week ahead, and the date picker goes to any day. Every row links to the full fixture page, where the analysis explains the number. When a pick settles it stays on the site with its result, and the market's strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive, losses included. The football predictions hub carries the same fixtures across every market.

Frequently Asked Questions

What people ask about over 1.5 goals predictions.

Question 1

Is there a 100 percent over 1.5 prediction?

Answer 1No. Over 1.5 lands more often than most markets, which is why the price is short, but every fixture on this page can finish 1-0 or 0-0. The probability column shows how far from certain each one is. A page that promises 100 percent is hiding its losses.
Question 2

What does over 1.5 goals mean?

Answer 2That the match has at least two goals in total, scored by either side. One goal or none and the bet loses. The .5 exists so the bet can never tie.
Question 3

Is over 1.5 goals a safe bet?

Answer 3No. It lands more often than most markets, which is why the price is short. It is not safe in the sense of certain, and in a multiple one failed leg loses the whole bet. The probability column tells you how far from certain each fixture is.
Question 4

Why is the over 1.5 price so low?

Answer 4Because two goals in a match is the normal outcome. A price around 1.25 implies roughly an 80 percent chance after margin, which is about where most top flight fixtures sit.
Question 5

Can I use over 1.5 goals for a rollover?

Answer 5Yes. It is the most common market for one, because short prices compound steadily. Our rollover guide explains how to build a plan and why each leg still matters.
Question 6

Does a 1-0 win count for over 1.5?

Answer 6No. One goal is under the line. The match needs two.
Question 7

Do own goals count toward over 1.5?

Answer 7Yes. Own goals appear in the official score and count toward the total.
Question 8

Are the Over 1.5 Goals predictions free?

Answer 8Yes. Every prediction on this site is free, with no paid tier, no VIP group, no subscription and no account needed to view anything.
Question 9

What time are Over 1.5 Goals predictions posted?

Answer 9By 06:00 West Africa Time each day, then revised when confirmed team news lands. The last updated stamp at the top of the page shows the latest revision.
Question 10

How accurate are the Over 1.5 Goals predictions?

Answer 10We publish the settled record rather than a marketing figure. Every pick stays on the site after the result, wins and losses, and the strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive.
Question 11

Can I convert a Over 1.5 Goals slip to another bookmaker?

Answer 11Yes. Build the slip anywhere, then paste the booking code into the booking code converter to rebuild the same selections on any of the bookmakers we support.
