How Anytime Goalscorer Settles
What counts, and what does not
- The named player scores at any point in 90 minutes. One goal is enough; more do not pay extra.
- Own goals do not count for the player who scored them.
- A player who does not take the field is void at most bookmakers; one who comes on late and does not score loses.
- Extra time is excluded unless the bookmaker states otherwise.
Settlement rules vary slightly between bookmakers. Where practice differs we say "most bookmakers"; check the rules of the one you use before placing anything.
About Our Anytime Goalscorer Predictions
What the market is, how we rate it, where it tends to land and how to use the page
Anytime goalscorer predictions back a named player to score at any point in the match. It is the most personal market in football and one of the most popular, and it depends on two things the goals markets ignore: whether the player starts, and how many of the side's goals go through him. We rate it only for the leagues where API-Sports supplies player level data and confirmed line ups, and only once the line up is in, which is why this page is short and fills late in the day. The fixtures come from the card on the football predictions hub.
How We Rate a Scorer
From the side's expected goals figure for the fixture, multiplied by the player's share of the side's goals over a weighted recent sample, adjusted for his position, whether he takes penalties and the strength of the defence he faces. A striker on penalties for a side expected to score twice against a weak defence is the clear case. A player not in the confirmed line up is not rated at all, which is why most rows here appear in the hour before kick off. The method is on how we make predictions.
Using the Scorer Market
Check the line up first, always. Then compare our probability with the price: a striker at 2.00 implies 50 percent before the margin is considered, and if our figure reads 58 the price is generous. If you like the player but not the price, the side's straight win or over 2.5 is the market with the same underlying view and a wider net. We publish the market only for the top leagues, including the Premier League, La Liga and the Bundesliga, where the player data is complete.
How to Use This Page
The chips above the table switch market. The country and competition selects narrow the table to one competition without leaving the page. The day pills move to tomorrow or the week ahead, and the date picker goes to any day. Every row links to the full fixture page, where the analysis explains the number. When a pick settles it stays on the site with its result, and the market's strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive, losses included. The football predictions hub carries the same fixtures across every market.
