Percentages are our win probability for home, draw and away, and always total 100. The tip on this page is always Asian Handicap; the price is the best we found for it. A pick rated 62 percent is expected to lose roughly four times in ten.

How Asian Handicap Settles

What counts, and what does not

  1. A goal start is added before kick off. A side at -1.5 must win by two or more. A side at +1.5 wins the bet if it wins, draws or loses by one.
  2. Whole number lines can push. At -1, a one goal win refunds the stake. Half lines never push.
  3. Quarter lines split the stake. At -0.75, half the stake is on -0.5 and half on -1.
  4. Ninety minutes only. Extra time is excluded unless the bookmaker states otherwise.

Settlement rules vary slightly between bookmakers. Where practice differs we say "most bookmakers"; check the rules of the one you use before placing anything.

About Our Asian Handicap Predictions

What the market is, how we rate it, where it tends to land and how to use the page

Asian handicap predictions level the match by giving one side a goal start before kick off, and they remove the draw from the bet. A favourite at -1.5 has to win by two; an underdog at +1.5 wins the bet by winning, drawing or losing by one. The lines are set so that the two sides are close to even money, which makes the market the purest test of a model: there is no short priced favourite to hide behind, only a view on the margin. We rate the handicap on fixtures where our expected margin differs from the line by enough to matter, and list them from the card on the football predictions hub.

How We Rate a Handicap

From the full scoreline distribution the model produces for each fixture. The probability that the favourite wins by two or more, by exactly one, and so on is read directly from it, so any line can be priced. A fixture qualifies when our probability of covering the line clears the threshold at the price available. Big favourites in mismatches are the common case, because the match result price is too short to be useful and the handicap is where the value sits. The method is on how we make predictions.

Lines Explained

A half line such as -0.5 or -1.5 always settles as a win or a loss. A whole line such as -1 refunds the stake if the margin lands exactly on it. A quarter line such as -0.75 splits the stake across the two neighbouring lines, so part of the bet can win while the other part refunds. A line of 0 is draw no bet under another name. The odds and terminology guide works through examples of each.

Where Handicap Value Comes From

Mismatches in the big leagues, where a title contender at home in the Premier League or La Liga is priced at 1.20 to win and the real question is the margin. Cup ties between tiers, for the same reason. The underdog side of the line has value in leagues with strong home advantage, including the NPFL, where the home side at +0.5 against a stronger visitor is often a better bet than the market suggests.

How to Use This Page

The chips above the table switch market. The country and competition selects narrow the table to one competition without leaving the page. The day pills move to tomorrow or the week ahead, and the date picker goes to any day. Every row links to the full fixture page, where the analysis explains the number. When a pick settles it stays on the site with its result, and the market's strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive, losses included. The football predictions hub carries the same fixtures across every market.

Frequently Asked Questions

What people ask about asian handicap predictions.

Question 1

What does Asian handicap mean?

Answer 1One side is given a goal start before kick off and the bet settles on the adjusted score. It removes the draw from the bet, and on whole number lines a result exactly on the line refunds the stake.
Question 2

What does -1.5 mean?

Answer 2That side must win by two goals or more for the bet to win. A one goal win loses.
Question 3

What does +0.5 mean?

Answer 3That side wins the bet by winning or drawing. Only a defeat loses. It is the same as double chance on that side.
Question 4

What is a push in handicap betting?

Answer 4A refund. On a whole number line, if the margin lands exactly on the line the stake is returned.
Question 5

Why do bookmakers offer quarter lines like -0.75?

Answer 5To split the stake across two neighbouring lines and offer a price between them. Half your stake goes on -0.5 and half on -1.
Question 6

Are the Asian Handicap predictions free?

Answer 6Yes. Every prediction on this site is free, with no paid tier, no VIP group, no subscription and no account needed to view anything.
Question 7

What time are Asian Handicap predictions posted?

Answer 7By 06:00 West Africa Time each day, then revised when confirmed team news lands. The last updated stamp at the top of the page shows the latest revision.
Question 8

How accurate are the Asian Handicap predictions?

Answer 8We publish the settled record rather than a marketing figure. Every pick stays on the site after the result, wins and losses, and the strike rate on the accuracy page is calculated from that archive.
Question 9

Can I convert a Asian Handicap slip to another bookmaker?

Answer 9Yes. Build the slip anywhere, then paste the booking code into the booking code converter to rebuild the same selections on any of the bookmakers we support.
