How content on AccuratePredict is produced, sourced, reviewed, corrected and kept apart from the advertising that funds it.

This page sets out how content on AccuratePredict is produced, reviewed and corrected. It exists so you can judge the method rather than take the output on trust, and so the standard we hold ourselves to is written down and checkable.

  • Every page names an author and a reviewer with a visible last updated time.
  • Predictions are settled automatically against the official result and stay published, wins and losses alike.
  • Sponsored links are marked inline and in the markup, and never influence a ranking or a prediction.
  • Corrections are published rather than quietly edited.
  • Olufemi Osunyingbo, editorial lead and co-founder, signs off every page before it goes live.

How Is Content Produced?

The model produces the number. People produce the words around it. Neither does the other's job.

  1. Data. Fixtures, results, line ups and odds arrive from API-Sports for every sport we rate. Nothing is typed in by hand.
  2. The model rates the fixture. Strength ratings, weighted towards recent matches, adjusted for home advantage, rest, travel and confirmed absences, become a probability for each outcome. The full method is on the methodology page.
  3. Nobody overrides the number. An analyst can write about why a probability looks surprising. An analyst cannot change it.
  4. The analysis is written. Tolulope Afuwape, Sports Analyst, writes the analysis, the market guides and the league pages, and checks that what is written matches what the model says.
  5. The page is reviewed and signed off. Olufemi Osunyingbo, editorial lead and co-founder, reviews every bylined page against this policy before it goes live. His name on the byline is that sign off.
  6. The call settles in public. When the fixture ends the prediction is marked won or lost on its own page and counted on the accuracy record. Nothing is edited afterwards.

How Are Claims Sourced?

A claim that cannot be attributed does not go on the page. That applies to claims about us too.

Results and fixtures From the API-Sports feed, the same source that marks every tip won or lost. A result that disagrees with the official record is treated as a feed error and corrected.
Figures about our own record Computed from the settled results store, never typed in. The strike rate on the accuracy page and every figure quoted elsewhere come from the same place, so they cannot disagree.
Bookmaker facts Licences are listed as each operator states them and are being checked against the regulators' public registers. Payout speed, odds margin and payment support are measured, and where a factor cannot be evidenced it is left out of the ranking.
Team news Confirmed absences adjust a rating. Rumours, pundit opinion and social media do not, because they cannot be collected consistently for every fixture.
Promotions and booking codes Described as they work, with their conditions, and never with invented terms. Promo pages explain how a code works rather than promising what it pays.
What we will not publish Fixed match claims, insider information, sure or guaranteed predictions, and any figure the data cannot back. If a number cannot be sourced it is cut.

Why Do Losing Predictions Stay Published?

Because a record you cannot audit is a marketing claim.

Every settled call stays on its page Marked won or lost next to the final score, with the probability we published beside it. A lost call is never removed, hidden or reworded.
The record counts all of them The accuracy page is the sum of every settled prediction in its window. There is no featured tip record, no best run and no separate paid record, because there is no paid tier.
A wrong settlement is reversed in public If a result was settled wrongly, the settlement is corrected, the record recalculated, and the revision time on the page changes.
Probabilities are expected to lose A call rated 60 percent is expected to be wrong four times in ten. That is the model working. The words sure, guaranteed and 100 percent do not appear next to a prediction on this site.

How Are Corrections Handled?

Fixed visibly, not quietly.

  1. Report it. Anyone can, through the contact page, with the URL and what is wrong. Corrections go to the front of the queue.
  2. It is checked against the source. The feed, the regulator register, the settled results store, whichever the claim rests on.
  3. The page is fixed and the revision shows. The last updated time on the byline changes, so a reader can see the page was revised. A wrong settlement also changes the published record.
  4. Material errors are flagged. Where a correction changes the substance of a page, a note is added on the page rather than the change being made silently.

How Are Advertising and Editorial Kept Apart?

The site is funded by advertising and by nothing from readers. Here is what that does and does not buy.

Sponsored links are marked Some outbound bookmaker links earn a commission. Those links carry rel sponsored in the markup and a disclosure inline, above the offer they sit beside.
Ad slots are labelled Every banner and sponsored placement is marked as an ad. Nothing paid for is dressed as site content.
Rankings are not for sale Bookmaker rankings are scored on licensing, payout speed, odds margin and local payment support. Commission is not a factor and no operator can pay for a position.
Predictions are not for sale No advertiser, partner or bookmaker can see, request or influence a prediction before it is published. The model does not know who is advertising.
Advertisers do not see copy in advance Commercial enquiries go through advertise with us and are handled separately from editorial. An advertiser has no say in what is written about them.
Partner sites are disclosed The sites we work with are listed on the partners page. A partner link is still a disclosed link.

Who Signs Off?

Two named people, two separated roles, both on every byline.

Olufemi Osunyingbo, editorial lead and co-founder of AccuratePredict, owns this policy and is the person who signs off every page published under it. Tolulope Afuwape, Sports Analyst, writes the analysis and cannot alter a prediction. The model produces every probability with no human override, which is why the sign off covers the words and the sourcing rather than the number.

18+ only. A probability is not a guarantee. You must be 18 or over to use this site. Betting involves risk, and a prediction rated 60 percent is expected to be wrong four times in ten. We publish the probability on every call and keep the losses in place precisely so nobody mistakes this for a system that always works. If gambling is affecting your life, help is free and worth asking for.
