Percentages are our win probability for each side and always total 100, because basketball cannot end level. The tip is our one call on each fixture, and it names its own market. 1 is the home side, 2 the away side, matching the percentages. A tip with no label is a straight win. Handicap 1 (-5.5) is the home side after that spread is applied, and Over / under O 158.5 is the match passing that many points. Green means the call won, red means it lost, amber means it has not settled yet. Losing calls stay on the page, which is what the accuracy record is built from. - The line. The total is the combined score of both sides. A line of 216.5 wins the over at 217 or more and the under at 216 or fewer. Overtime points count.
- Overtime. Overtime counts. Every market settles on the final score including any overtime periods, so a game cannot end level.
- Both sides count. It does not matter who scores, only the combined figure.

What Drives a Basketball Total

Reading This Page
NBA totals are the highest in the sport and the most sensitive to rest and pace. EuroLeague totals are lower and steadier because the game is slower and the shot clock is used. In the Nigeria Premier League and the BAL, where data is thinner, we rate the total only where the fixture history supports it.
